DESCALE THE RESERVOIR
After using about 2-3 months, some chemical deposits may build up in the reservoir or on
the heating element.
This is normal phenomenon.
The amount of deposits depends on the hardness of water in your area. It is essential to
descale the reservoir on the purpose of prolonging the product life.
Fill the reservoir with the mixture of vinegar and water to the maximum mark. Don’t use
any other chemical or detergent.
Plug to the outlet. Drip tray, steam plates and steamer lid should be in the correct place
during this procedure.
Set the appliance to approximately 20-25 minutes of steaming. In case white vinegar is

TIPS
When using the appliance at high altitude, you may need to increase steaming time
according to the altitude.
Steaming time stated in recipes is only for reference. Also it depends on food size,
location, freshness and taste.
One layer food is steaming faster than multi-layer food, therefore, steaming time for a
large quantity of food is much longer.
For better results select proper size food to steam. If food size differs greatly, place the
small food on the top.

TIPS
The steam plates are also used for steaming other food such as fruits, vegetables,
pudding, quick bread etc.
When using three steam plates, always place the food with long steaming time to the
lower steam plates.
You may place different food respectively in three steam plates. As steam will drip from

vegetables, always place meat to the lower layer so that gravy can’t drip onto other food.
Steaming time for food in the upper steam plate is usually longer than 5 minutes. If you
need to steam the food with different cooking time, start steaming the food with the long
cooking time in the lower steam plate. Then, when the remaining time reaches time of food
with the short cooking time, carefully remove steam lid with the gloves and place food to the
lower support and lower steam plate. Cover the steam lid and continue steaming.
