Check the Tx and Car function
Rotate the control wheel forward or to the right if viewing the transmitter face. The wheels should turn to the
right (when the model is viewed from the rear).
Rotate the control wheel towards yourself or to the left when looking directly at the transmitter face. The wheels
should turn to the left (when the model is viewed from the rear). If the wheels move in the opposite direction
check the servo reversing settings on the Tx.
If needed, to reverse the steering servo control direction, move the steering reverse switch to the opposite

14
www.pilotage-rc.com
Slowly and evenly squeeze the trigger on the Tx and the wheels on the model should drive the model forward.
Release the trigger on the Tx and the motor should idle and the car should gradually roll to a stop.
If needed, to reverse the throttle control direction, move the throttle reverse switch to the opposite position.
15
Extend the trigger on the Tx forwards. The wheels should rotate in the direction to drive the model backwards.
If prior to doing this, the model was traveling forward, the model’s breaks will activate rather than shifting the
model directly into reverse.
16
www.pilotage-rc.com
NOTE: This model has a reverse function. In order to protect the gears from stripping and becoming damaged
the model will not allow the model to go from forward directly into reverse. If moving forward, and then the
trigger is extending outward the breaks will rst engage until the model is brought to a halt. Then return the
throttle trigger to the neutral position and extend the throttle trigger outward again and the model will move in
reverse.
17
Electronic Speed Control
The stock electronic speed controller is specially matched with this model and requires no setup, programming,
or special calibration.

DRIVING PRACTICE
Fundamentals
First try controlling your model at low speeds in the patterns as illustrated. Continue performing these patterns
until you feel comfortable with the controls of the model. Farmiliarize yourself with how the throttle and steering
commands perfom at various speeds. Once you feel comfortable at doing these patterns at higer speeds reverse
the direction. Once you have a solid grasp of the fundamentals can you start go to a track and participate in
wider rc events.
18
www.pilotage-rc.com
Cornering
• Prior to entering a corner smootnly reduce your speed to the point where the model maintains traction
and does not slide laterally while in a turn. While conrnering maintain the throttle to keep your RPMs up to
resume acceleration quickly once the cornering has been completled and so that tourqe on the wheels is
constantly present.
• Once the model has reduced its speed, evenly angel the model into the curve. Select a trajectory so that the
shapest pont of the inside edge of the curve is in the center of your models curve line as illustrated in the
diagrams above. This point is called the apex of the turn. Select a path so that the model will come closest
to the apex while maintaining as wide a turn radius as possible. Once the model passes the apex gradually
begin to streightn out the wheels and smoothly increase speed and prepair for your next turn in the course.
• Never make sharp or jerky motions while cornering. Doing so will only risk ipping your model or
signicantly reducing your speed while unessesarily cutting down on your intertia.
Jumping
• While performing jumps you can adjust your model’s orientation in the air.
• In order to lift the nose of your model while jumping, increase the rpms of your motor.
• In order to lower the nose of your model, activate the breaks while airborne.
• In order to slightly adjust the left/right trajectory of your model, turn the tires of the model in the desired
directon.
• When landing the wheels on the model should be straight.
In most cases jumps should be approached in the following manner:
• Build up enough speed to travel through the air between the jump gap.
• Hold the speed level stable while approaching the incline on the jump.
• Once the front tires touch the beginning of the incline drop the throttle and allow the intertia to carry the
model through the air.
• Once the jump is complete smoothly increase the throttle and continue on your way.
Advice when running on rough surfaces
When running on uneven surfaces keep your traction buy puming the throttle. Keep the RPMs of the model
constant but pump the gas to maintain the speed rather than holding a constand level on the throttle. You
should see immediate improvement due to this.
19
TURNING OFF THE MODEL
• Remove the body.
• Turn the model o.
• Unplug the battery pack from the ESC.
• Remove the battery pack from the model
• Turn the Tx “o
NOTE: Wait for the battery to fully cool prior to recharging. Not doing so may damage the battery pack and will
shorten the pack life.
NOTE: Store the model and battery pack, transmitter, and charger in a cool dry location, well out of the reach of
small children, and away from open ames or sources of ignition.
Shock Spring Adjustments
Various shock springs are widely available in the market. Springs provide
various elasticity and modify the performance of the suspension system.
If the rear shocks are equipped with sti springs, the model will have more
steering control, but less rear traction, while the stier the front shocks are,
the steering will be less responsive, but will provide more traction.
