Thank you for buying the ELINCHROM Indirect Litemotiv Softbox.
All Elinchrom products are manufactured using the most advanced technology.
Carefully selected components are used to ensure the highest quality and the equipment is
submitted to many tests both during and after manufacture.
We trust that it will give you many years of reliable service. Please read the instructions carefully,
before use, for your safety and to obtain maximum benefit from many features.

SECURITY ADVISE
The maximum modelling lamp wattage for all Indirect Litemotiv softboxes is limited to 650 W.
Ensure that the Litemotiv is correctly assembled and locked to the flash unit.
The unit, the flashtube and accessories may become very hot during and after use! To avoid
injuries, handle with isolating cloth or wait until parts have cooled down.
Even though we use fire retardant materials; the fabric should never get in contact with the hot
flashtube or the modelling lamp.
The metal bracket may heat up enormously when the flash unit is used at maximum flash and
modelling lamp power levels. Please wait until the parts have cooled down, before packing away.
Always switch the flash unit off before fitting or exchanging reflectors and softboxes. Ensure that
the ventilation system of flash units is working correctly.
Double check that the internal fabric diffuser is correctly fitted and does not make contact with
the hot flashtube and modelling lamp.
The reflective surface is very close to the modelling lamp / flashtube. The fabric, can be damaged
by excessive heat. Lower the modelling lamp power and reduce the number of flashes per
minute to avoid overheating.
Ensure that no external hot light sources or other hot objects are directed to the outer fabrics of
this softbox. This may damage or even burn the fabrics.
Old or dirty diffusers may change the colour temperature and should be replaced after some
time. We recommend dry-cleaning for any dirty diffuser.

ASSEMBLING THE INDIRECT LITEMOTIV
I. SETTING UP
1. Mount the Indirect Leitmotiv onto a strong and stable light stand.
2. Hold firmly the first central ring and push it straight and centered against the second
central ring where a “click” sound can be heard once both rings have snapped in.
3. The Indirect Leitmotiv can be used with or without internal and external diffusers,
if the internal diffuser is required, find the internal clips.
4. Attach the flash unit and lock the breach-locking ring.
5. On the Recta and Strip, please insert the ends of the two metal rods into the
4 corners of the softbox.
6. Now, if required, the external diffuser can be attached with the Velcro parts
on the outer black/silver fabrics.
II. COLLAPSING
7. Remove the flash unit.
8. Hold firmly the first central ring and find the locking button on the right side of the ring.
Press and shift this button to the left side to release the first ring from the second.
9. The Indirect Leitmotiv is now collapsed and ready for transport and storage.
10. All this fits into one confortable bag.

SICHERHEITSHINWEIS
Die maximale Wattzahl der Einstelllampe für alle Indirect Litemotiv Softboxen ist auf 650 W

AUFBAU DER INDIRECT LITEMOTIV
I. AUFSTELLUNG
1. Montieren Sie die Indirect Litemotiv Softbox auf ein stabiles Lichtstativ.
2. Halten Sie den ersten zentralen Ring fest und drücken Sie ihn direkt und mittig gegen den
zweiten zentralen Ring bis ein „Klick”-Geräusch hörbar ist, wenn beide Ringe eingerastet
sind.
3. Die Indirect Litemotiv Softbox kann mit oder ohne interne und externe Diffusoren benutzt
werden, wenn der interne Diffusor erforderlich ist, verwenden Sie die internen Druckknöpfe.
4. Befestigen Sie die Blitzeinheit und verriegeln Sie den Bajonett Verschlussring.
5. Auf dem Recta und dem Strip führen Sie bitte die Enden der beiden Metallstäbe in die vier
Ecken der Softbox ein.
6. Jetzt kann wenn erforderlich der externe Diffusor mit den Klettbändern auf den äußeren
schwarzen / silbernen Geweben befestigt werden.
II. ZUSAMMENFALTEN
7. Entfernen Sie die Blitzeinheit.
8. Halten Sie den ersten zentralen Ring fest und suchen Sie den Verriegelungsknopf auf der
rechten Seite des Rings. Drücken Sie diesen Knopf und drücken ihn nach links, um den
ersten Ring vom zweiten zu lösen.
9. Die Indirect Litemotiv Softbox ist jetzt zusammengefaltet und für Transport und Lagerung
bereit.

CONSEIL DE SECURITE
La puissance maximale de la lampe pilote de toutes les boîtes à lumière Leitmotiv Indirect est
limitée à 650 W. Vérifiez que la Leitmotiv est correctement assemblée et fixée à l’unité de flash.

MONTAGE DE LA LEITMOTIV INDIRECTE
I. MONTAGE
1. Montez le Leitmotiv Indirect sur un pied d’éclairage solide et stable.
2. Tenez fermement la première bague centrale et serrez-la. Centrez la seconde bague
centrale jusqu’à entendre un déclic lorsque les deux bagues soient enclenchées.
3. La Leitmotiv Indirect peut être utilisé avec ou sans diffuseurs internes et externes si vous
avez besoin d’un diffuseur interne, trouver les clips internes.
4. Fixez le flash et fermez la bague de verrouillage.
5. Pour le Recta et le Strip, veuillez insérer les extrémités des deux tiges métalliques dans les
4 angles de la boîte à lumière.
6. Si vous avez besoin d’un diffuseur externe, vous pouvez le fixer sur les parties avec du

II. DEMONTAGE

8. Maintenez fermement la première bague centrale et trouvez le bouton de déverrouillage sur
le côté droit de l’anneau.
9. Appuyez sur ce bouton et faites tourner la bague vers la gauche pour la libérer de la
seconde bague.
10. La Leitmotiv Indirect est maintenant fermée et prête pour le transport et le stockage.

La massima potenza elettrica della lampada da modello, per tutti i softbox Litemotiv Indirect, è
limitata a 650 W. Assicurarsi che il Litemotiv sia correttamente montato e bloccato all’unità flash.
L’unità, la lampada flash e gli accessori possono diventare molto caldi durante e dopo l’uso! Per

MONTAGGIO DEL LITEMOTIV INDIRECT
I. PREPARAZIONE
1. Montare il Leitmotiv Indirect su un supporto forte, stabile e leggero.
2. Tenere saldamente il primo anello centrale, spingerlo dritto e centrato contro il secondo
anello centrale, finché si udirà un “clic” quando entrambi gli anelli si chiuderanno a scatto.
3. Il Leitmotiv Indirect può essere utilizzato con o senza diffusori interni ed esterni;
qualora il diffusore interno fosse necessario, trovare le clip interne.
4. Collegare l’unità flash e bloccare l’anello di blocco.
5. Sulla Recta e Strip, inserire le estremità delle due aste metalliche all’interno dei 4 angoli del
softbox.
6. Adesso, se necessario, il diffusore esterno può essere collegato con le parti in velcro sui
tessuti esterni nero/argento.
II. SMANTELLAMENTO
7. Rimuovere l’unità flash.
8. Tenere saldamente il primo anello centrale e trovare il pulsante di blocco sul lato destro
dell’anello. Premere e spostare questo pulsante verso sinistra per liberare il primo anello dal
secondo.
9. Il Leitmotiv Indirect è adesso smontato e pronto per il trasporto e la conservazione.
10. Il tutto si adatta ad una comoda borsa.

A pesar de que utilizamos materiales ignífugos, la tela nunca debe ponerse en contacto con el
tubo de flash o la lámpara de modelado cuando estos estén calientes.
El soporte de metal puede calentarse mucho cuando la unidad de flash es utilizada con la
máxima potencia del flash y de la lámpara de modelado. Por favor, espere hasta que las piezas
se hayan enfriado antes de guardarlas.
Verificar siempre que la unidad de flash está apagada antes de ajustar o cambiar reflectores
y cajas de luz . Asegúrese de que el sistema de ventilación de las unidades de flash funciona
correctamente.
Compruebe siempre que la tela difusora interna esté instalada correctamente y que no se
encuentre en contacto con el tubo de flash caliente, ni con la lámpara de modelado.
La superficie reflectante está muy cerca de la lámpara de modelado/ tubo de flash. La tela puede
ser dañada por el calor excesivo. Baje la potencia de la lámpara de modelado y reduzca el
número de destellos del flash por minuto para evitar el sobrecalentamiento.
Asegúrese de que no haya otras fuentes de luz externas u otros objetos calientes que apunten a
las telas exteriores de la caja de luz. Esto puede dañar o, incluso, quemar las telas.
Difusores viejos o sucios pueden cambiar la temperatura de color y deberán reemplazarse luego
de algún tiempo. Recomendamos la limpieza en seco para cualquier difusor que se encuentre
sucio.
