Unit UBS-2220 — многофункциональное устройство для контроля веса, содержания воды, мышечной массы и жировой ткани в организме. Attention! When you getting a UNIT product you must obtain from the seller

READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
PURPOSE OF THE DEVICE
The device is intended for measurement of the weight and of the percentage of
body fat and hydration.
INSTRUCTION AND PRECAUTIONS
1. Using this device you can determine the percentage of body fat as well as
the hydration. The principle of operation of these scales is based on Bio-im-
pedance analysis (Bioelectric impedance analysis – BIA), which allows you to
determine the percentage of body fat as well as the content of water in your
organism based at such parameters as age, gender, height.
2. The data obtained during the measurements can be used only as reference
information. It is not recommended to use these values for medical goals.
For getting more information on the recommended diet, etc. see you doctor.
3. For people using pacemakers or any other implants with electronic com-
ponents it is not recommended to use this device. During the using of the
device the implant can be disabled.
4. To avoid accidental interferences do not use the scales near strong electro-
magnetic field. Always install and use the scales away from such devices.
5. Use a soft and dry cloth to clean the scales. Do not immerse the appliance
in water. Do not use chemical cleaners to clean the appliance.
6. Before making measurements make sure that the working surface of the
scale is dry.
7. Place the scales on the dry flat surface (not on the carpet). If you do not
plan to use the devise for long time remove the batteries from it.

8. Do not drop the appliance and do not jump on it. Protect the scales from
strokes, dust, chemical substances and sharp changes in temperature.
9. Do not insert foreign objects into the openings of the device.
10. Repair of scales can be carried out only in the authorized UNIT service
centers.
11. If the device does not turn on, replace the batteries. If after installing new
batteries the appliance does not switch on, contact an authorized service
center.
12. If the error is on the display for long time, remove the batteries from the
scales for 3 seconds. Then put them back and start the measurement again.
13. In some cases, data from the memory cells of your scales may be lost. It is
not a warranty case as the data can be deleted from the memory of the
scales due to the influence of electromagnetic waves from various electrical
appliances.
14. The manufacturer is not responsible for non-compliance of the precautions,
which causes damage to the health of users of the scales or third parties.

INITIAL PREPARATION
Turn on the scale and prompt to next parameter. (Please refer to the Set-
ting Personal Parameter overleaf).
Advance the value by one interval each press. Continuous pressing will
speed up the advance of value. For choosing the code, gender, age and
height.
Decrease the value by one interval each press. Continuous pressing will
speed up the Decrease of value. For choosing the code, gender, age and
height.
1. Install battery into the compartment underneath the main scales unit.
2. Place the unit on a dry, flat and solid ground surface, ensure the unit is
standing stable. Avoid carpet, or wavy ground surface.

OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
MEASURENT OF BODY FAT, MUSCLE AND BONE MASS PERCENTAGE
1. Turn on the scales. The LCD-display will light and data from the memory will
be displayed. By pressing the «SET» button you can step-by-step set the
required parameters for obtain the result:
a) Press the button ( ) to select the memory location where you
want to store you parameters or which you are already using. Press «SET»
again for confirmation of choosing parameter. The next parameter of in-
stallation will be displayed (Gender).
b) Press the button ( ) to select your gender. Press «SET» again
for confirmation of choosing parameter. The next parameter of installation
will be displayed (Height).
c) Press the button ( ) to select your height. Press «SET» again for
confirmation of choosing parameter. The next parameter of installation
will be displayed (Age).
d) Press the button ( ) to select your age. Press «SET» again for
confirmation of choosing parameter. The settings have been completed!
You can press the «SET» button a few more times to change parameters you put
down incorrectly (the cycle described above will b repeated again).
2. Stand on the working surface of the scales. You feet should be bare and
dry. Make sure your feel are located on a metal surface (each one on two
squares), make sure your feet do not touch each other (in order to avoid
short circuit).
If you step on the surface of the scales and the LSD-display automatically turned
off, press the «SET» button and wait until current settings will appear on the
display.
3. As soon as you step on the scales, the display will show the weight indicator
(first time it will be increasing until it fixes on the exact value).
4. Within a few seconds, the scales will automatically determine the percent-
age of your body fat, hydration, muscle and bone mass and also daily cal-

orie recommendation. Then the scales will show these results 5 times and
automatically shut down.
During the determination of your body fat percentage you will see an analysis of
the measurement results in the form of series of vertical symbols. This is given
for indication of your Fat percentage level, telling where your fat level standing is
comparing to the statistics norms. Whether you are considered as underweight,
normal, or overweight. You can take this indication as a reference data of your
condition.
NOTE: Each time you press the «SET» button you can start the measurement again (including changing
the settings of the previous user) in accordance with the above points.
WEIGHT MEASUREMENT
5. To activate the scales click on the segment of the working surface. After a
few seconds the value «0,0 kg» will appear.
6. Stand on the working surface gently (do not jump on the scales). As son as
you step on the scales there will be the weight indicator on the display (first
time it will be increasing until it fixes on the exact value). After a few sec-
onds the scales automatically turns off.
MEASUREMENT ERRORS
If there are errors during operation the display shows «Err». In this case wait
until the scales is turned off to start the measurement again, whether look if the
batteries are installed correctly. The list of possible defects is given below:
1. All symbols are lit at the same time. This happens when the scales are
switched on and indicates that the device is in good working order.
2. Err – : the maximum load of the scales has been exceeded.
3. Lo – : the battery is re-energize. Install new batteries.
4. Errh – : the maximum possible for these scales body fat content is exceeded.
5. Errl – : the body fat content is too low.
6. [ – : leave the scales and wait a few seconds. Repeat the weighing again.

REFERENCE INFORMATION
The resulting values are based on standard method of measurement. All these
indicators are individual and depend on the way of life as well as on variety of
indicators. You can see the list of conditions affecting the result obtained in the
course of measurements below:
a) After taking a shower or a bath the indicators can be underestimated.
b) After eating the indicators can be overestimated.
c) The indicators can be incorrect during the course of the illness.

2. Electronic scales with the function of analysis of the percentage of body fat,
hydration and muscle an bone mass can not be used:
• Children under 10, and adults over 80.
• People with symptoms of fever, edema, osteoporosis.
• People on dialysis treatment.
• People taking cardiovascular medicine.
• Being pregnant.
• Athletes who undertake more than 10 hours of intensive sport activity.
• Those with heart pulse rate under 60 beats / minute.
