Important information
Warning!
Do not insert or remove the SD card when the device is on
or working from the battery. This can lead to the dash cam
malfunction. Before removing the memory card, make sure that
the power and all dash cam indicators are o.
Make sure to set the correct time and date before using the
device.
Use at least 0.5 seconds time interval between pressing control
buttons, this guarantees proper functioning of the device.
Be careful when connecting the power cable to the device. Do
not confuse the dash cam power cable and the radar detector or
GPS unit power cables, which may have a voltage of +12 V. The
device may get damaged if connected using such cables.
Do not turn o the power for at least 20 seconds after the power
supply cable is connected. This is necessary to help the built-
in battery function correctly. If after you have started the car
(when the power supply cable is connected to the dash cam),
the device failed to switch to the recording mode automatically,
simply unplug the power cable for ten seconds and then try
again.
Use the restart option (by pressing RESET button) in the
following cases:
power indicator is not on when the power cable is connected;
the device does not switch from the standby to the recording
or control mode;
the device fails to function properl.
Files protected from overwriting by G-sensor or by pressing a
corresponding button are recorded in a loop with a 30% limit
of amount on the memory card. Check the free space left on
your memory card on a regular basis to prevent data loss (this
happens when the memory card is full).

• When the dash cam is on, the operation indicator is blue; it is
ashing in the process of recording.
When the power supply is connected, and the battery is charging,
the supply indicator is red. When the supply is o, the battery indicator
is o. Both LED and display indicators show the device status.
When connected to a power source, the dash cam automatically
switches to the recording mode and turns on Wi-Fi, pressing the REC/
OK button or switching on Wi-Fi manually is not required.
When the power if o, the dash cam automatically stops recording,
saves the video le and shuts down. Prior (before turning o the
power) manual shutdown is not required. If needed, you can turn o
the dash cam manually by pressing the ON/OFF button.
The dash cam has protection against loop overwriting of recorded
les. This function is activated automatically by G-sensor or by
pressing the PROTECT button in the video recording mode.
If this function has been activated, the dash cam protects the
current video clip from overwriting. Overwriting protection can be
enabled for a limited number of video les with loop overwriting
occurring within them. The number of protected les is limited to 30%
of the total storage space of the memory card.
Protected les are stored on the memory card in the “CARDV/
MOVIE/RO” folder, whereas current les are saved in the “CARDV/
MOVIE” folder. Photos are stored on the memory card in the “CARDV/
PHOTO” folder.
The sound recording function in the dash cam is turned on by
default. The sound recording function can be switched on and o by
pressing the DOWN button; the current status will be shown on the
dash cam display.
The dash cam has a built-in Wi-Fi module, which is activated
immediately after the device is turned on. It can be quickly turned o
by pressing the UP button once. Wi-Fi can be turned on again using the
UP button or the appropriate item in the device settings.
Usage
Note:
The dash cam may work o-line without power supply. The
time of o-line operation depends on the battery status and level.
Advice: Use recording mode with minimum video clip duration
(1 minute).

For better interaction with the device, it can be accessed from an
ОС Android or iOS smartphone using the Gazer Dashcam rmware.
Using this software, you can set up the dash cam, view the current
video stream from the device, view recorded materials, download
video clips to the smartphone, etc.
Other buttons have quick settings functions when the dash cam is
in the recording mode. The MENU button enables quick setup of LED
indicators, by pressing it once one can set up automatic activation
mode or turn o the indicators. By pressing the MODE button once,
one can quickly turn on/o the display. By pressing the ON/OFF
button, one can turn on/o the theme image.
Using the PHOTO button, you can make a snapshot both in the
recording mode and in the standby mode.
The dash cam supports an external GPS module (optionally). To
connect the module, connect it to the USB port on the dash cam
mount.
When using the optional GPS module, the dash cam supports sound
prompts.
Databases with coordinates of points to be notied of are
stored on the optional GPS module. To update databases, turn for
recommendations to www.gazer.com.
To avoid glare from the windscreen in sunny weather, one can
install an optional polarization lter. After the lter is installed on the
dash cam, it must be set up appropriately. After installing the lter on
the lens, the outer ring is easily rotated. Rotate the ring so that the
glare from the windscreen disappears.
• The dash cam also supports the parking mode. To turn on this
function, use the corresponding settings item. When the parking mode
is activated, the dash cam is turned o on power o, but it continues
processing information from the built-in G-sensor. Once the G-sensor
registers any hits, abrupt movements, etc., the dash cam turns on and
records a one-minute protected video clip. The G-sensor sensitivity can
be set up in the corresponding stings item.
Usage
Note: To enter the settings menu or the view mode, rst turn
o Wi-Fi. These features are unavailable when the module is
turned on.

One needs to precongure the dash cam before using it. By default
(factory settings), all main parameters are set to optimal values.
Nonetheless, one still needs to set the exact time and date. This is
required for further analysis of recorded video les.
Without connecting the dash cam to power supply and having
made sure that all indicators are o, insert the memory card in the
slot. The memory card is inserted pins towards the display.
Connect the dash cam power unit to the 12-24 V car charger and
turn on the dash cam power supply. On power-on, the dash cam
automatically switches to the recording mode, so you will see real-
time image from the camera on power-on (condence channel) and
the recording indicator.
Preparing dash cam
Advice: Place the dash cam as high as possible (DASH CAM
body being near the back mirror or behind it) so that the lens
is directed slightly down at a horizontal angle of approximately
15°. Video recordings from the dash cam placed lower (on the
torpedo or slightly above) do not provide complete information
about the road situation because they do not record the front
part of the car, so there is no point of reference. If the dash
cam is placed in parallel to the road or at an upward angle, the
recordings will be signicantly darkened.

питания;
устройство не переходит из режима ожидания в режим
записи или управления;
